Most interesting sentences I read today….

“Keynes did not teach us how to perform the miracle . . . of turning a stone into bread, but the not at all miraculous procedure of eating the seed corn.” Ludwig von Mises

Reading a little more deeply into this statement says a number of things.

1. When you eat your “seed corn”, you don’t have anything left to grow in the future.
2. “Corn”, in many countries, is considered “pigs’ food” or food for animals. It reduces the human to its lowest level of existence.

I think Mises was careful when using his wording.
