Puzzler of the Day…

This idea was recently presented to me during a conversation.  I will pass it on to you.  The medical specialty business is experiencing some interesting times.  Here is your puzzler.

Assuming both surgeons are competent and considered “the best” by their peers, which surgeon would you pick?

A.  A surgeon based in the United States that must present the surgery to a committee who must approve the surgeon’s strategy.  Due to the process, the surgeon can only perform a few surgeries every year and is restricted to approved procedures.

B.  A surgeon based in another country who gets to perform hundreds of surgeries each year and can use the latest techniques.  Due to the number of surgeries, the surgeon has significantly more experience.
