The Importance of Language and World History

Susan Wise Bauer talks about the importance of language and trying to objectively look at world history.

I picked up Bauer’s Well-Trained Mind:  A Guide to Classical Education at Home when my youngest was born.  She also wrote The History of the Ancient World:  From Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome.  Both are excellent works.

I hope to read The History of the Medieval World:  From the Conversion of Constantine to the First Crusade this summer.
