Gordon Tullock had a birthday yesterday (February 13). He was born in Rockford, Illinois, which is a stone’s throw from where I currently live. He attended the University of Chicago and retired as a professor at George Mason University.
His work with James Buchanan forms the basis for the field of Public Choice Economics. Learn a little about their work here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Calculus_of_Consent

So, why doesn’t Tullock vote and is his argument rational?
